Why should I buy from Advanced Water Products?
Simple. We offer the best systems available at affordable prices. Hague Quality Water provides patented technology coupled with the strongest warranty in the industry and has been doing so since 1960! Don’t settle for an ‘assembled’ product, buy from a multi-national, family run company that uses state of the art manufacturing processes. Each system is fully tested before leaving the plant.
Advanced Water Products is also a member of the Florida Water Quality Association and the Water Quality Association — many of our competitors cannot make that claim!
Isn’t water just water?
Actually, there are three types of water. There is Utility Grade Water, Working Grade Water and Drinking Water. Utility grade water is water suited for watering your lawn and plants. It usually requires no water treatment. Working Grade Water needs to be higher quality because it runs through your plumbing, fixtures and water-using appliances. To make these essential household systems last longer and save you money, treated water is needed. Drinking Water is a key component of our lives. Since 70% of the human body is water, the water we drink and cook with must be the highest quality.
Do I need to get my water tested?
Yes. The test should include a minimum of hardness, iron, and pH. Your independent Hague dealer has the equipment to test your water accurately. The Hague representative can also demonstrate the value of clean, soft water – and the cost of untreated water.
Can WaterMax® be installed outside?
Outdoor installation is common in temperate climates. WaterMax® is designed with UV-resistant materials to allow outdoor installation. Advanced Water Products will choose the best overall location for your equipment to be installed — and NOT just simply the easiest location.
What if I go on vacation or have guests?
Because of the WaterMax® Systems Control, you do not have to change, alter or modify anything. If no water is used, there will not be a recharge. If you have guests, you may have additional recharges.
Why don’t all water treatment manufacturers offer a 25 year warranty?
Quality. Nobody beats Hague’s quality. Ask your independent Hague dealer for a copy.

Will carbon filtration soften your water?
Some companies claim to have an activated carbon filter that softens the feel of water using an “energy cell” employing some form of “advanced quantum physics”. There is, of course, no quantitative data on how well this works, and none of their claims have any scientific support.
Why choose a product with NSF certification? (direct statement from the NSF web site.)
Credibility is what NSF Certification is all about.
NSF uses the terms “certified” or “listed” in connection with a product, good, component, system, material, compound or ingredient (“Product”). A Product that is certified or listed means that NSF: (1) reviewed the Product, most often through a sampling of the Product; (2) determined at the time of the review that the Product complies with the relevant NSF consensus standard and/or protocol (“Standard”); and (3) conducted or will conduct (as more specifically set forth in the Standard) periodic audits to review whether the Product continues to comply with the Standard. After NSF certifies or lists the Product, NSF authorizes the manufacturer of the Product to use the NSF Mark on or in connection with the sale, use or distribution of that Product. The NSF Mark conveys that an independent, third-party organization (NSF) has determined that the Product complies with the relevant Standard.
Why choose a product with WQA certification? (direct statement from the WQA web site.)
“Products that go through the certification program must withstand rigorous testing to evaluate the performance and integrity of the product.”
- Materials Safety ensures that the materials used in the product will not contribute contaminants to the drinking water.
- Chemical Performance measures contaminant reduction capabilities over the life and/or capacity of the unit.
- Structural Integrity ensures that the product will withstand 10 years of normal household use.
- Reviews are conducted to ensure that the product literature supplied to consumers meet WQA’s code of ethics, is congruent with the test results, and contains the required information outlined in the standard.
Why does soft water make my skin feel slippery or I can’t get the soap off?
People who have had hard water all their lives are used to the feeling. In the hard water your pores are always clogged with soap scum. The same soap scum that is on the shower doors and walls. When this scum in packing your pores your natural skin oils are not able to come out.
Showering or washing in soft water cleans your pores out and your natural skin oils are now able to come out. Remember what happens when water mixes with oil? It gets kind of slippery, or slick. That is the feeling that you are experiencing. For the first time your pores are no longer filled with soap scum and your natural skin oils are free to come out.
